White Cream Seafood Sauce Recipes
Seafood sauce is a quick, easy way to add a little extra
flavor to your favorite fish, clam or shrimp dishes. You can
choose between spicy red sauces, mellow butter sauces, or
creamy white sauces that can transform plain seafood into a
unique creation. However, before you pick which seafood sauce
you use, you should make certain you consider all aspects of
your meal. Some sauces will go better with certain side dishes,
with others can lower the appeal of the dinner.
Of the three types of seafood sauce you can make, butter
sauces are the easiest to master. The most basic sauce is
melted butter and garlic blended together as a dipping sauce
for shrimp. You can modify this type of sauce by adding herbs,
lemon and white wine. Horseradish can also be used to add a
little extra spice to the sauce. This type of seafood sauce is
virtually impossible to ruin. However, unlike creamy sauces or
red sauces, it needs to be used immediately. Once the butter
solidifies again, the flavor and texture of the sauce changes.
If you are planning on needing butter sauce for more than a few
minutes, a fondue serving bowl with tea candle works well to
keep the butter liquid until you are done using it.
Red seafood sauce is a little harder than butter sauce, but
can be made through combining ketchup and horseradish in its
most simplistic form. You can also make the sauce by using
fresh tomatoes and simmering them down before adding spices.
Horseradish is almost always used in this type of sauce, as
many people prefer red sauces to be spicy.
Creamy seafood sauce tends to be made as a garnish for fish
or seafood pastas. These can range from modified Alfredo sauces
to various horseradish sauces. They can be cheesy and mild or
spicy. These sauces tend to be more difficult to make, as they
require a lot more attention and care than butter or red
sauces.
Red seafood sauce and creamy seafood sauce can be made in
large batches and frozen for later use. If you plan on jarring
your seafood sauce, you will want to make certain that you
sterilize your jars by boiling them for at least ten minutes.
Once boiled, your freshly made and still warm seafood sauce
should be put in the jars and set to cool.
Seafood sauce can be also used as a garnish for vegetables
and other meats for a different style of flavor.
